The Portuguese built heritage with universal dimension

In this sea of ​​(mis) information in which we live, we almost forgot that sometimes arise good news, for example last year we had three good news related to the remarkable heritage of Portugal with a universal dimension. Two involve the Lower Coa (district of Guarda), we know so well, the other involves Brazil.
-Museum was inaugurated on the Coa. The museum develops over four floors comprising auditorium, educational services, administrative area, shop and exhibition rooms.
Opened its doors 15 years after the controversy that has suspended the construction of the dam due to protests from environmentalists and experts in cave art.
The cultural equipment becomes the main point of reception of the Archaeological Park of the Coa Valley (PAVC).

It was built with the aim to promote and contextualize the archaeological findings of the Coa Valley discovered in 1994 and which led to the suspension of construction of the dam.
- Also related to the Archaeological Park of the Coa Valley (*****) approved the candidature a World Heritage site, to be established the extent of the zone of rock Siega Verde (***), Spain in contiguity with the Archaeological Park of the Coa Valley, was awaiting a decision by many responsible and IGESPAR Park. Along with the inauguration of the Museum of the Coa approval of this extension gives even more an international character to the park.
- Finally the last convention of UNESCO, the Plaza de San Francisco, St Kitts, in the state of Sergipe, Northeast Brazil, was one of 21 World Heritage property approved at the annual meeting of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO. Brazil is going to rely on just 18 World Heritage sites and Portugal joins the 13 locations in the country. 23 and of Portuguese origin in the world with this distinction of UNESCO.
